Jennifer + Chris are Engaged!

I am trying to catch up on blogging and editing so I figured these beautiful people were the best ones to start off with and later this month I'll get their wedding on the blog too.

I am so happy I had the opportunity to meet and work with Chris and Jennifer, they are the sweetest, cutest couple.

When I met with Jennifer to discuss her upcoming wedding she let me know that her and Chris met at a pub in the Woodlands called The Goose's Acre and she wanted to incorporate it into their engagement session. Needless to say it worked out perfectly.

Farmer's Market Finds

I started following Cristal a while back on Instagram and realized she wasn't too far from me in Houston.  She is a beach body coach and a good one at that, plus she has a very contagious personality.  I initially met up with her because I needed to get in better shape and she is great at motivating you.  Even if I sucked at getting started.  Sorry Cristal.

When I realized how cute her and her boyfriend Cameron were together, I asked if they'd be willing to help me build my portfolio with a photo-shoot.  They had planned to go to this really cute Farmer's Market and I asked if I could tag along.  We were able to get some really cute shots and here are a couple of them.

If you are looking to getting into shape or just need someone in your IG feed who will motivate you to work out check out Cristal.

Nandlal Family Portrait Session | Houston Texas

Photography in itself is a very nail biting thing for me, posing and hoping that your clients aren't stiff like trees makes me a nervous wreck.  While I love photographing weddings they are very fast pace and in a hurry so when I get the chance to do portrait sessions it makes me happy because I can play around more.

EXCEPT!

When your Family Portrait Session is your older brother and his family.  : | insert extreme panic emoji.  Maybe it is the want to not disappoint, or the fear that they won't like anything that you provide then you have to see them on a regular basis that makes me want to puke.  But I always go into session with extreme panic, and think to myself, I hope they think it is just my camera if these turn out badly.

I had a session earlier that day and I had the chance to play with my camera, pose and get lighting adjustments right, plus I think my nerves were so bad that session that I had no more for this one.

And no one wants to mess with a hot pregnant lady.  NO ONE

I have been wanting to photograph them for a while because for one I can tell them what to do without worrying if I am coming off like a Sargent barking orders, and two I tried to get photos of them when I first started photography and they turned out terrible.  So this is redemption.

A lot of our photos growing up were ruined during flooding so we don't have much and I wanted to be able to provide them with something that they could hang on their walls.  So I could come over and be like I took that picture!

And lastly, I'd like to wish my brother a very happy birthday, win something in Vegas and have fun.  = ]

This picture was my nieces idea to just get a picture of her and her dad walking and I could've just started crying right there.  It is just so sweet.

Texas Wedding Photographer | Houston, TX

I love second shooting it is a live, in action teaching session, even if I do freak out before every wedding.  I have had to pleasure of working with amazing photographers and  Dana Fernandez Photography is one of them.  She has given me tons of tips and tricks while giving me the opportunities to shoot at locations I could only dream of.

Recently I was able to take part in a wedding at a gorgeous location in Houston alongside Dana and below are just a few shots of the beautiful day.  I am always so grateful to be part of such a huge part of someone's life.

Travel Diary | South Padre Island

A couple of weekends ago we spent a few days in South Padre Island and I wish I could go back.  I know it isn't Florida or somewhere with beautiful turquoise water, but I have to admit the water was perfect and our family has been going here for years.  So it was like revisiting my childhood while having baby in my belly.

My older brother keeps up the tradition and goes yearly, my last visit unfortunately was 6 years ago with Eric and I am glad that I went this year.  Besides needing a vacation from work, and home it was fun to go and see somewhere I visited as a child along with my nieces and nephews.

Being pregnant I wasn't sure how the drive was going to go but being early on in the pregnancy I was able to endure the drive, especially since I was in the driver seat and not my mom.

We rented a place where we could make breakfast and lunch, then we had dinner out.  The good thing about going with family on vacation is that someone knows how to cook and we had pancakes every morning which made me think I was in heaven.

Below are a couple of pics from the trip, enjoy!

It has been awhile.

I know, I know your probably wondering "where the hell have I been?"

And while I have a great reason, I can't tell you what it is just yet. So lucky you will just have to wait a little bit longer.

I wish I could say I had taken time off to pump out a bunch of content and amazing photography for you guys and while I did take some pretty great photos I don't have content just yet. But I am working on it.

I feel like I am still trying to get my footing even though I feel like I have been doing this F-O-R-E-V-E-R.

I do however, still need this blogging/photography thing to take off so I need to get working on it because it is something I definitely need/want.  There are a lot of major things going on in life and it would be much more easier if I had a flexible schedule.  : ]

We recently went to the beach and I got some cute pictures of the nieces while we were there so you can see those below.  I have been using my A6000 as much as possible which isn't even enough if you ask me or E for that matter.

So while I can't catch you up on much at the moment I felt like I was leaving this blog in the dust and I never want it to seem that way.  I love writing and doing fun things for the blog but life is so hectic that I didn't want to come of rushed or ungrateful for anyone who does read my blog.

Here are the cuties!

Long Weekends, Long Naps.

Boy was this weekend rough.  Our area had a lot of major flooding starting Friday I believe, I know a lot of people's houses who never had water issues before had water above their roofs this weekend.

But, you have to make the best of a bad situation.

We spent some time with this little cutie, my baby niece Mila and she is just the cutest and she is just too smart for herself.

Bella is getting really big and I got her a new toy this weekend so she is loving that.  She is very interest in everything as usual.

Since we moved to the country we have some friends in the area and I love seeing them after a long day, they are just so peaceful.

I hope you loves had a wonderful weekend full of family and fun.

Farmer's Market Finds

Good morning loves!

Today I wanted to share with you guys a couple of photos that I shot at the Farmers Market this weekend.  I had the opportunity to work with the sweetest couple and it was such a blast.

I want to do more lifestyle shoots and I am working my way up to that.  Posing is so hard! Those images I hope will be posted next week sometime.  : ]

And I forgot to make a few purchases while I was there so I will definitely have to return it is only open on Saturday mornings from 8-12 but it is very much so worth it.

The artichoke is literally my favorite ever, I could've totally used this as a wedding bouquet.  LOL.

I just love how vibrant and healthy all the fruit and veggies are here, there were tons of local farmers and more here.  I will definitely have to go back and spend some more time there.

Do you go to Farmer's Markets?  Do you have any tips?
