5 Simple Ways to Treat Yourself
1. Get Your Favorite Drink
Sometimes a rough day can be solved by a drink. It can be your favorite coffee, you favorite wine, or your favorite hard liquor beverage. Mine is a tequila sunrise it's like a vacation in a cup. I typically stay away from hard liquor but lately I have been taking the time to treat myself. I deserve it.
2. Get a Mani/Pedi
One of my favorite things is getting a mani/pedi it is the one time when nothing else matters and you can just sit back and relax without worrying or dealing with anyone else or any problems. Some locations even offer wine so you can have both options at once. I love pampering myself from time to time. I know in Houston there are a few locations that have cheaper pricing during the middle of the week.
3. Stop and Enjoy
I have been trying very hard to narrow down my style of photography. I know I love natural light and being able to use that to my advantage is key, you only have a certain amount of time to do so. So I recently decided to get up early drive down to our nearest beach and watch the sunrise. I took some time for myself and it was one of the best decision I made.
4. Take A Trip
Next week a friend and I are taking a few days in Miami and I can't wait. I have taken small trips to San Antonio here and there but it has been a while since I have taken a trip for myself. Last year around this time I was doing the process of IVF in Mexico but that was almost as stressful than helpful. So this trip to Miami may set me back a little but I most definitely need to be away.
5. Buy Yourself Something
As of lately grabbing myself a new makeup item, shoes, or even an outfit has the ability to make me feel so much alive that it is ridiculous. E probably hates this but every paycheck I must get me something.
