Sky is the Limit Holiday Houston Blogger Event
This weekend I had a few events that I wanted to attend, the first stop on the list was the Sky is the Limit Holiday Event at SkyHouse River Oaks which benefited the Star of Hope and included some wonderful vendors. The facility at SkyHouse was gorgeous and it is great for entertaining purposes, plus if we didn't have dogs SkyHouse River Oaks would definitely be the place I would try to get availability for living space at. The place is gorgeous.
I unfortunately cannot drink vodka so I took a friend along with me so she could at least enjoy the wonderful signature drinks that Dash Handmade Vodka. It is a locally distilled here in Houston and the packaging is perfection. This would be the perfect drink to have at any Tiffany's inspired girl's night out.
We were greeted with food from Pollo Tropical and the food did not disappoint. I am a sucker lately for any food that is fresh and delicious it is just another plus if it is on the healthier side of fast food. I have noticed that Pollo Tropical's are popping up all over Houston so if you see one don't hesitate to stop in. The chicken, rice and black beans were delish!
Upon entering the blogging event you were asked if you would like to enter a raffle with proceeds benefiting the Star of Hope. Another goal of mine this year was to start donating more and more to charities that I believe in and maybe one day start one of my own. Working downtown I am very aware of the circumstances that our homeless are faced with so I was very glad to give to the Star of Hope. If you are looking for a charity to help this year or during the holiday season, you can find more information at Houston's Star of Hope.
Since I was driving I didn't try out the Leprechaun Cider but a couple of the other bloggers brought their significant others who were much fonder of drinking out of a typical "beer bottle" and I only heard really great things about Leprechaun Cider. Plus for those of you who have a tolerance to Gluten, these are naturally Gluten Free. I will definitely be on the look out for Leprechaun Cider at my next visit to Specs or HEB.
