Rising Tide Summit
RISING TIDE SUMMIT
The Rising Tide Summit was a 3 day 9 person speaking summit held by the founders of the Rising Tide Society and included amazing speakers from Jenna Kutcher to Jeff Goins. This was one of many recent educational leaps that I took this year in order to prepare me for a better 2016 and for many years to come. Owning a business never means that the educational steps you take to better yourself for your business and personal life ever end. They just don't have to necessarily take place in a college class room.
I was able to sit back and watch some amazing people speak on great things that matter within your business and your life. Overall I can say I left with the knowledge that being exactly who you are will make people want to work with you more than being this cookie cutter business owner who has everything together.
WHAT I LEARNED
I have wasted a lot of time thinking that if I had every little thing perfect on my site that is when I will get clients but what I failed to realize is that, I am doing exactly what I should be doing in order to get noticed. I am being me.
I know that I have a lot of work to do in order to get this small business of mine into the experience that I want to give clients and it will take time, but I can say that now I feel like everything that I have been grooming through this year will at some point finally pay off. I will finally get clients who want to work with Vashti, not just another photographer or blogger that they found on a website. All that you see here at by: Vashti Co., is everything I hope I am in person and more. I have grown, I have changed, and I want to be better than I was yesterday. It is time to finally surround myself with the people who I can relate to and be boss with.
Do I want to do weddings? Yes, I just want to be very selective with those. I want to make sure I am having fun, and I give my clients the best experience for one of the biggest days of their lives. I want them to know what they are experiencing and who they are getting whether it be via email, phone call, or in person. If I don't mesh with you don't book me. I could never live with myself if I ruined an experience for you.
I recently introduced Girl, Yes! Portraits for the every day girl and that is exactly who I want to photograph. Whether it be for bridals, boudoir, senior experience, or just because you want to get dress up and take pictures. I want to uplift and inspire the girls and women of the world. I want to give you tips of how to dress, and what hairstyles will look good. I want to write words to you to make you understand how worthy you are, and I want you more than anything to know exactly how wonderful and beautiful you are.
If you leave here knowing anything about me as your potential photographer know this:
You must love dogs, I love coffee dates, I can't get enough of fashion, travel is occasional but needed, and cupcakes are life.
I also love to play around with make up and lip sync extremely hard to songs in the car - almost loud enough to wear you can actually hear me.
